Please verify that the object you are linking to exists.“I’ve been showing her since she was 3 years old, so we’ve become very good partners,” Alisa Bernhard said of her 1994 brown mare, Keepin The Image, aka “Silky.” The proof of that was in the gold trophy in Bernhard’s hands after they won the amateur hunter hack world championship.
“I know everything about her, and we get along great!” she continued. “She has a lot of ring presence. She goes around with her ears up, and she’s very quiet. She looks like she likes her job and (that) it’s very easy for her, and it is. I have a lot of fun with her.”

In fact, Bernhard and Silky now have six world championships to their credit in working hunter, hunter hack and equitation over fences. They won four in youth competition, and this is their second as amateurs.
“I’m not using a trainer at this show,” Bernhard said. “This year, I decided to do it all by myself. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so I’m very happy with the outcome so far!”
Bernhard is also showing a new horse, Tall Dark And Rich, in junior hunter hack, junior working hunter and green working hunter. The 2000 brown gelding is by Rich Rendition and out of Forsaken Skies (TB) by African Sky (TB).
“I’m planning on promoting him a lot next year,” Bernhard said, but she’s not sure yet about her plans for Silky.
“I don’t think I have too much more to win on her because I’ve done so well over the past five years. But she’s in good shape, she’s not ring sour, and she’s still very sound. So I think I’ll continue to show her – just not quite as hard.”
