| Rita Crundwell and her homebred amateur world champion yearling stallion, Execute. |
Rita Crundwell of Dixon, Illinois, won her second 2005 halter amateur world championship with her homebred 2004 yearling stallion Execute.
In fact, the colt is thoroughly homebred. Execute is by Crundwell’s stallion Mr Touchdown Kid that stands at her Meri-J Ranch in South Beloit, Illinois. Crundwell bought Mr Touchdown Kid (a 1999 sorrel stallion by Touchdown Kid) as a yearling and showed him to an amateur world championship that year.
Crundwell was also top-10 in the world in amateur 3-year-old mares with Execute’s dam Forever Coolest. She bought the daughter of Coolest from Clay and Lori Walker.
Crundwell is a leading owner, breeder and exhibitor of American Quarter Horses in halter, western pleasure and hunt seat events. At last year’s World Show, she was the Oklahoma City Leading Owner.
Thus far at this year’s World Show, Crundwell won 2-year-old mares with Jewels By Tiffany and a reserve in aged geldings with Sure Can Dominate.
