Object Not Found. Please verify that the object you are linking to exists.A Certified Edition, aka “Winston,” took home his second 2005 pleasure driving world championship on November 16, this time in the senior class under the hands of Atlanta-based trainer Brian Isbell.
Owner Kristin Mazzarini-Martin (of Canal Winchester, Ohio) drove the horse to the amateur driving championship last week.
“He has a great big heart,” Isbell said. “Even when I broke him to drive, he loved this class. He really does love this class.
“We don’t drive him a ton throughout the year,” he continued. “We just drive him at a couple of big shows and get him qualified. He stays fresh and enjoys his job.”
Winston has qualified for every World Show since 2001, in both hunter under saddle and pleasure driving classes. The short list of his accomplishments includes:

Isbell is the one that broke him to drive. “I broke him to drive, and two weeks later I showed him, and he won his first class,” he said.
What makes Winston a great driver? “His legs; he’s a great mover,” Isbell said. “And his mind.
“The Mazzarinis and Kristin, they’ve been great to me,” he continued. “They’ve had a lot of belief in me, and supported me with whatever I decided to do with the horse. It’s great!”
