Everything is a familiar face at the world show. The petite sorrel mare added to her legacy with a victory as the world champion 3 year-old mare.

Shown by Ted Turner for owners Johnan and Danny Ratliff of Ratliff Quarter Horses at Lewisville, Texas, she earned her second world title. As a weanling, she was named reserve world champion. The following year, she won a world championship title at the AQHA World Championship Show and was reserve champion at the Bayer Select World Championship Show. Last year, she finished third in 2-year-old mares at the World Show and was named world champion at the Select World.

Ted Turner and Everything.

“She’s a great mare, a very kind mare,” he said. “We think a lot of her.”

Bred by Ted’s wife, Darlene, Everything was sired by Mr Elusive. She is out of the Hint Of Conclusive mare Hint Of Intimidation.

“Her strongest point is she’s very feminine, and she looks like a mare,” Ted said. “I always want a mare to look like a mare. She’s very pretty, very deep in her heart. She’s got a big ol’ withers. Her daddy was the same way.”

The Ratliffs purchased the mare last year so that they and their children could show her. Last week, Johnan showed her to a reserve championship honor in the amateur 3-year-old mares.

So how confident was Ted going into the arena?

“I felt good,” Ted said. “There were some great mares in the pen, and three or four world champions. We just wanted to compete. She showed really well, and I feel really fortunate to be able to pull it off.”

With the victory, Ted tied Jerry Wells for the record number of victories at the world show with 60 wins.
