| Robert Martin won his first world show trophy with his bay roan weanling stallion, Kid Wrap. |
Robert Martin has been showing as a novice amateur in all-around events for about a year. But when he spotted Kid Wrap, he decided to add halter to his show routine.
“I saw him at my friend June Rhea’s place and I liked him immediately,” the Wynnewood, Oklahoma, resident said. “There was just something about him that drew me to him.”
“Diesel’s” bay roan coat was a definite plus.
“He’s a beautiful color,” he said. “But it’s really his muscling. He’s HYPP N/N and he is so well-muscled.”
By Im Kiddin and out of Another Charade by Another Dandy, Diesel was foaled in mid-January and is already filled out with quite a bit of height.
“‘Kiddin’ puts that on every baby,” Martin said.
The November 9 amateur weanling stallion world championship title was the first world trophy for Martin. He said he might come back again next year with Diesel to show him in amateur yearling stallions.
“That is if I still own him next year,” he said. “You never know.”
