The third time Jerome Schneeburger rode Cash N Missy, he won a world championship with her.

Jerome Schneeburger and Cash N Missy won the junior tie down roping.
That’s because Cash N Missy’s trainer for the last three years, Jeff Carney, broke his hand October 18, but the mare was qualified for the AQHA World Championship Show in junior tie-down roping. So Jeff called up his friend Jerome.

“(Jerome) rode her Saturday, about four days ago,” Jeff said. “He ran six calves on her, and that was it.”

Jerome rode the mare again in the preliminaries and then the finals November 15, 2006.

Working 14th out of the 15 horses, the 2001 palomino scored a 222 ½. That was good enough for the win.

“That run was probably the best one I’ve had so far (with the mare),” Jerome said. “Shoot, I was fortunate to be able to ride her.”

Owner Larry Little of Bell, Texas, who bred the daughter of Miss N Cash, couldn’t be at the World Show but was watching the finals on the Fort Dodge Web Cam.

“I couldn’t hardly get him called afterward before he called me,” Jeff said. “He was ecstatic.”

Jeff said Cash N Missy isn’t just a show horse; on the weekends, she competes in rodeos and jackpots.

“She’s full of energy and wants to please you,” Jeff said.
