THE AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE JOURNAL JUNIOR JOURNALISTS

The American Quarter Horse Journal is looking for its 2008 Junior Journalists - youth selected to help produce the online coverage of this year's Ford AQHYA World Championship Show!

The 2007 Junior Journalists: Lynsey Madison, Katie Morrow and Shelby Vohsen.  Click here to see their experience stories from the 2007 Ford Youth World!

We are looking for three of AQHYA’s best writers and photographers to join our team and share the show’s inside scoop. We want creative individuals ready to have tons of fun gathering stories about the best youth and horses in the Quarter Horse biz.

Why do it? You dive into the world of online journalism AND get an inside look at the Ford Youth World. It’s an incredible career experience in journalism, all related to Quarter Horses. You’ll capture and write stories, make and post your own Web pages and create your own videos, learning journalism by doing.

You must be 16 or older as of July 31, 2008, and a member of AQHYA in good standing to apply. And you must be available for the entire show in Oklahoma City, from Thursday, July 31, through Saturday, August 9.

Want to learn more? Click here for an application; the deadline to apply is June 1, 2008.

Or contact Christine Hamilton, Journal field editor, at chamilton@ahqa.org.
