Be honest...how many of you have been out on the trail and decided to make like Joe Badilla, Jr. by taking up your stirrups, gathering your reins and heading out across the pasture at full speed (all the time watching out for prairie dog holes, of course)? Take the adrenaline you felt then, multiply it by 10 and there you have it-- the sport of American Quarter Horse Racing. There's nothing--and I mean NOTHING-- that compares to the EXPLOSION of horses leaving the starting gates, FEELING the ground shake as they head down the track FLYING past as you and LOSE COMPLETE CONTROL when your horse crosses the finish line first.

Here's the scoop - As long as you are an AQHYA member you've got three chances to getcha' some of the Youth Racing Experience. So hang on... here we go.

AQHYA CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE

You know about the NCAA Final Four, right? Well picture that, only with horse racing and you have the Bank of America Challenge Championships, AQHA's multimillion-dollar racing program. You're guaranteed to meet the most famous owners, trainers, jockeys and, of course, horses in the horse racing industry. All you have to do is apply. Top AQHYA members will be picked for an all expense paid trip to the Bank of America Challenge Championships. This isn't just some joy ride, though. You've got to be ready to get down to the nitty gritty of early mornings, late nights and a lot in between. By the end of your Championship Experience, you'll know the in's and out's of horse racing "gar-on-teeed."

AQHYA REGIONAL RACING EXPERIENCE

Spend a weekend with "America's Fastest Athletes" at an AQHYA Regional Racing Experience.

The AQHYA Regional Experience consists of one to two day events to introduce you to the sport of racing. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look into the industry and meet the people who help the show go on everyday. AQHA state and provincial affiliates host these experiences so you won't have to venture too far from home. Call your AQHA Racing Affiliate to find out when their next event is.
