MEET THE 2007 FORD YOUTH WORLD JUNIOR JOURNALISTS.

Your 2007 Junior Journalists are: Lynsey Madison, Katie Morrow and Shelby Vohsen.

Lynsey Madison
Age: 17
Hometown: Helenville, Wisconsin
Horses' names: Chocolate Lollipop, Shadys Lilly Belle
Shows in: all-around events, favorite class is trail

  • Is a volunteer firefighter in her hometown.
  • Is home schooled.
  • Bought her first horse when she was 10 and trained it herself.

Katie Morrow
Age: 17
Hometown: Fort Worth, Texas
Horse’s name: Make Me Radical
Shows in: western pleasure and showmanship, favorite class is showmanship

  • Wants to go to Duke University to study veterinary medicine.
  • Is a student ambassador to prospective parents for her high school.
  • Is the vice-president of her school’s outdoor club and Latin club.

Shelby Vohsen
Age: 16
Hometown: Warrenton, Missouri
Horses' names: A Ladys Asset, KCs Flowering Melody
Shows in: western pleasure and halter, favorite class is pleasure

  • Is vice president of her Future Farmers of America Chapter.
  • Is in her school’s a capella and concert choir.
