Now at the end of the week if someone asked me that same question my answer would be I know I want to study journalism.
Before this week here as a Junior Journalist at the 2007 Ford AQHYA World Championship Show, if you asked me what I wanted to study when I graduate high school, I would have told you I think that I would like to try journalism.
I have had such a phenomenal experience here at the Ford Youth World. During the course of a week, I have learned an immeasurable amount about what is required to bring the Ford Youth World to those not present. This week has also given me the opportunity to meet many amazing kids who share my passion for Quarter Horses.
The Journal staff has been exceptional to work with, and I enjoyed working with the other two Junior Journalists, Shelby Vohsen and Katie Morrow, this week as well.
The most enjoyable moment for me was when the results were read for showmanship and I was given the opportunity to shadow the show staff doing the winning run story. I felt like I was living a dream.
Ever since I started showing horses when I was 10 years old, I had dreamed of going to Ford Youth World. I had no idea how I would get here, but it is amazing how God writes each of our stories differently. This week has been everything that I imagined and more.
