Hannah Harmon,15, wrecks her golf cart regularly. She actually has hit a brick wall. |
There is no doubt about it, young Hannah Harmon has the need for speed with an impressive record of golf cart crashes under her belt.
“First we got a four-wheeler, but then she hit the freezer, so we decided the golf cart might be safer,” said Hannah’s mom, Janann.
That statement proved to be untrue with such golf cart crashes as hitting a brick wall and running over a tree stump. According to Janann, Hannah is a good driver in the car, just not in the golf cart.
Hannah, on the other hand is unphased by the experiences. It’s nothing but fun for her, especially since the majority of crashes have involved her friends. She contributes some of her crashes to the fact that she shows speed horses. Her best advice: “Don’t drive fast or turn the wheel too sharp.”
Hannah, who is a Ford AQHYA World Championship Show regular, is showing I Sparkle Shyly in the pole bending and CG Poco Zan Chick in the stakes race. I Sparkle Shyly is a 17-year-old, bay mare who was fourth in the amateur pole bending at the 2001 AQHA World Championship Show. CG Poco Zan Chick is an 11-year-old, gelding who has multiple Registers of Merit and was qualified in 2005 for the World Show in amateur barrels and poles.
