2019 Ranch Horse Stats
An American Quarter Horse bred for ranch work is one of the cornerstones of the breed.

The AQHA Ranching Heritage program highlights ranches that are certified as AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeders. These working cattle ranches produce quality horses needed to work on the ranch. The program is designed to showcase the qualities of a working ranch horse by providing added opportunity for Ranching Heritage-bred horses. These include not only the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenges and AQHA Ranching Heritage Finals, but also special added Ranching Heritage-bred awards at major industry events.
These are the 2019 leaders in both the Ranching Heritage Challenges and in ranching classes, according to QData.
The leading Ranching Heritage Challenge earner is BOXO Valentines Cat, a 2019 VRH World Champion who is bred, raised and campaigned by the connections of Box O Quarter Horses at Gordon, Nebraska. The 2012 mare is by Palo Duro Cat and out of the Roan Ambrose mare Tracis Blue Roan.
