2024 AQHA VRH World: The Amarillo Experience

We are proud to host VRH exhibitors in Amarillo and we want to celebrate all week long!

• Sunday June 16 – Kick off the week and celebrate Father’s Day with a pizza party in the Glenn McMennemy.

• Monday June 17– Head over to the Kiddie Corral at 3 p.m. for an ice cream social.

• Tuesday June 18 – Welcome to AQHA, join us at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum for a welcome party. Explore the Museum and enjoy a cookout with all of your fellow exhibitors and their families.

• Thursday June 20  – Come out and celebrate our community for Amarillo Day recognizing the generous support of our community partners.

  • Grab some ice cream at the ice cream social in the Kiddie Corral!

• Saturday June 22 – Celebrate our new VRH world champions and NRSHA national champions as they are crowned during the awards banquet that will be held in the Commercial Exhibits Building on the Tri-State Fairgrounds.

Book a tour of AQHA Headquarters and explore the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum! Browse through the Grand Hall and see the Hall of Fame residents, both horse and human, that have paved the way for the future of the breed. Families will also love the interactive Dr. Joni J. Hegel Education Gallery that features a hands-on learning experience about all things Quarter Horse. Our Museum holds all the information one could learn about the American Quarter Horse and is a full day of fun for exhibitors and their families.

Tri-State Fairgrounds

With a new location comes new facilities. Starting with the overall layout of the property, the buildings and arenas are conveniently placed within short walking distance of each other and trailer parking. This also means easily accessible stalls, allowing for livestock and horses to be within close distance to the show pen and parking, and making it a quicker trip to saddle your horses. These facilities also allow for improved care of cattle in covered pens with electric waterers.

About the AQHA VRH World

The AQHA VRH World combines four premiere ranch horse events into one: the AQHA VRH World, AQHA RHC Finals, AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships and NRSHA National Championship Show. This prestigious show draws ranch horse competitors from around the globe to Amarillo in June to crown nine AQHA VRH world champions among other top AQHA RHC Finals, Cattle Level 1 and NRSHA National Championship Show ranch horse champions in addition to awarding over $400,000 in purse and prizes.
