Held alongside the 2025 American Quarter Horse Association Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships at the Tri-State Exposition in Amarillo, the AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships were proudly presented by the Four Sixes Ranch, whose commitment to advancing ranching heritage and youth development in the western performance horse industry continues to elevate the event.
For the first time, the top youth and amateur high-point exhibitors were each awarded a handcrafted saddle sponsored by Genuine Billy Cook Saddles. The awards were presented by Adam Trenk of Genuine Billy Cook Saddles and Carly Myers of the Four Sixes Ranch.
Earning the AQHA Cattle Level 1 youth high-point saddle was Avery Leigh Jacobs and Spook Royale. The 2014 gelding is by Smart Spook and out of Chex My Royal Booty by Nu Chex To Cash and was bred by Laura Shea of Weeki Wachee, Florida. In their Level 1 youth classes, Jacobs and Spook Royale were first in ranch trail and working cow horse, and fourth in 14-18 ranching riding.
Taking home the saddle for the AQHA Cattle Level 1 amateur high-point was Kathryn Stark and Pretty Sweet Peep. The 2018 mare, by Reys Dual Badger and out of Miss Pretty Bo Peep by Smart Little Lena, is owned by Ellie Mae Matthews of Bowie, Texas, and was bred by Marshall Miller of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In their Level 1 amateur classes, Stark and Pretty Sweet Peep were second in cutting, third in Select ranch riding and fourth in boxing.
Thank you, Genuine Billy Cook Saddles and Four Sixes Ranch for supporting our AQHA Cattle Level 1 exhibitors!
