2025 Challenge Schedule

The 2025 season of the AQHA Racing Challenge will kick off on February 23 with the Cox Ranch Hipodromo Distaff Challenge in Mexico. 

There are 43 regional stakes races currently scheduled for this year’s Challenge, with more races expected to be added. Among them are 13 graded stakes races, and more than $1.3 million in added money alone.

Be sure to enroll horses before the December 31 deadline and get your horse ready for a lifetime of racing.

Stretching from the Hipodromo in Mexico to Century Mile in Alberta, there are 19 racetracks currently set to host Challenge stakes. In addition to a number of familiar host tracks, a new addition this year will be Thunder Plains in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is scheduled to run an AQHA Racing Championship Challenge regional stakes. 

Nominations due in January include $400 payments for the $40,000-added AQHA Racing Remington Championship Challenge (G2), the $20,000-added Cox Ranch Hipodromo Distaff Challenge and $30,000-added Remington Distance Challenge. 

The AQHA Racing Challenge season will conclude on October 18 at The Downs at Albuquerque for the AQHA Racing Challenge Championships.
