One Flying Dynasty, an Arizona-bred son of champion FDD Dynasty, is the fastest qualifier to the September 22, $100,000-added La Fiesta Quarter Horse Futurity.
Racing in the first of three trials at Albuquerque Downs on Friday, One Flying Dynasty covered 400 yards in :19.537, and his margin of victory was a half of a length from second-fastest qualifier Mister Mucho Gusto. Mike Joiner trained and Raul Ramirez Jr. rode the sorrel gelding for owners Joe David Yates, Richard Young, and Michael S. Bennett.
One Flying Dynasty was bred by Allred Bros. Ranch LLC. The gelding was shortening in distance off of a third-place finish in a 440-yard All American Futurity (G1) trial at Ruidoso Downs on August 16.
A $20,000 purchase at last year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, One Flying Dynasty has earned $5,360 from three races, all in New Mexico.
