MM Fourinthemorning, a sorrel son of champion Mr Jess Perry racing for Mark and Annette McCloy of Tatum, New Mexico, is one of 311 2-year-olds entered in this weekend's 440-yard All American Futurity (G1) trials at Ruidoso Downs.

Sixteen trials will be contested on Friday and Saturday. Post time each day is set for 11 a.m. (MDT). The five fastest qualifiers from each day of trials will meet in the $3-million All American Futurity final on Labor Day, September 3.

The top-ranked 2-year-old on the weekly AQHA poll, MM Fourinthemorning is coming off of a three-quarter length victory as the third-fastest qualifier in the 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) on July 22. Trained by Blane Wood, the gelding was a $50,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. He has won two of his three starts, all at Ruidoso Downs, and he has earned $424,800.

“He’s doing really well,” said jockey Ricky Ramirez, who has ridden Mm Fourinthemorning in all of the gelding's races. "We stood him in the gate, and when he is galloping you can tell he’s craving it and ready to do it again.

“He’s maturing and getting better leaving the gate in each race," he added.

MM Fourinthemorning drew post 3 and will be ridden by Ramirez in the 12th trial on Saturday.

Two more graded stakes winners, Newman Cattle Co. LLC's Blue Corazon and Joe M. Rios' Suze Returns, will also compete in Saturday's trials. Blue Corazon has won all three of his starts, including the 350-yard, $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) on June 10. The gelded son of Coronado Cartel drew post 4 and will be ridden by Raul Ramirez Jr. for trainer Blane Wood in the 14th heat.

Suze Returns, a $50,000 supplement to the trials, is a sorrel daughter of High Rate Of Returns trained by Juan Carlos Gonzalez. The filly has earned $351,618 from six outs, and her four wins include a neck victory as the fastest qualifier in the April 14, 300-yard West Texas Futurity (G1) at Sunland Park.

Suze Returns drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jaime Parga Leos in the 13th trial.

Friday's trials feature the Ruidoso Downs debuts of Sunnysyde and Wokatee On Fire, the winner and runner-up of the June 2, $1.025-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park. Trained by Clint Crawford for owner Cox-Lane LLC, Sunnysyde is a homebred colt by Heza Fast Dash who has earned $433,361 from two outs. Sunnysyde drew post 6 and will be ridden by G.R. Carter Jr. in the fourth heat.

Wokatee On Fire, a $50,000 supplement to the All American trials, is also trained by Clint Crawford. A homebred son of Highest Fire owned by Servando Montemayor of Laredo, Texas, the gelding has banked $183,061 from two starts. James Flores will ride Wokatee On Fire from post 2 in the fifth trial.

Wokatee On Fire's eight opponents in Friday's fifth heat include Lynnder 16, a daughter of Apollitical Jess trained by Jason Olmstead for owners Tom Maher and Dick Tobin. Lynnder 16 has won three of four races, including the 330-yard, $864,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG2) for Oklahoma-breds in April, and she has earned $369,546.

Cristian Esqueda will ride Lynnder 16 from post 4.
