German Amaya’s CDs Wine N Dine took the $200,000 All American Gold Cup (G1) over older horses on a sloppy racetrack at Ruidoso Downs on September 1.

Ridden from Post 5 by Raul Herrera, the 3-year-old FDD Dynasty colt charged to an early lead, then held off the late onslaught of Tough To Bee to win the 440-yard race in :21.422 by a half length. Hes Limitless was a close third.

CDs Wine N Dine was bred by Rafter W Stables and is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Adoration. He was trained by Salvador Soto.
This marks his fifth win in 11 career starts, and he came into the race off a win in an All American Derby trial. Earlier this summer, he was third in the Ruidoso Derby (G1) and second in the West Texas Derby (G2). He has now earned $273,257.

"I prayed to God and I knew this was going to happen," said Herrera. "So from the break, the first beginning, we were in front. I rode him pretty hard – he’s a 3-year-old so he had a lot of work to do to stay with those other horses.

"I thank God for everything!" he added.

Finishing fourth was Hold Air Hostage, followed by Mi Amor Secreto, Papaws Paint, Wagon Chick V, Valiant Rogue, New News and Uptown Dynasty.
