Amateur Exhibitor Pilots More Than Her Horses

Carisa Kimbro flies helicopters for the Army National Guard.

AQHA exhibitor Major Carisa Kimbro piloted the CH-47F Chinook helicopter during the flyover before the Texas A&M vs. Alabama football game October 12 in College Station, Texas.

Carisa, A&M class of '01,  is the pilot in command of the CH-47F Chinook crew out of “Hookmaster” Company B 2-149th General Support Aviation Battalion. The CH-47F Chinook flew together with two UH-60M Blackhawk helicopters during the flyover. The aircraft and crews are part of the “Mustang” 36th Combat Aviation Brigade of the Texas Army National Guard, located at Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
