Earlier this spring, the American Quarter Horse Foundation made the decision to temporarily close the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo, Texas, to protect the health and safety of visitors and staff. Museum staff is utilizing this period of closure to conduct renovations and repairs essential to reopening and will remain closed until May 31, 2021 and open to the public August 17, 2021. Get more information about the reopening here.
“Our Museum is dedicated to educating and sharing our passion with visitors who travel near and far to view the beautiful Hall of Fame and our insightful exhibits,” said Chris Sitz, chief Foundation officer. “With the extended closure, our team will be conducting the necessary repairs and upgrades to ensure the best possible experience for our guests when we reopen later this summer. ”
During the temporary closure, public events, field trips, bus tours and special events will not be offered.
