The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo will remain closed for the remainder of the calendar year, due to precautions and restrictions regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This closure will also impact the 2020 America’s Horse in Art Show & Sale, originally slated for August 15 - October 17. America’s Horse in Art will be postponed until the 2021 show. All artists who were invited to participate are automatically invited to be showcased at the 2021 event. The Hall of Fame & Museum will also be jurying new artists to accept into the 2021 America’s Horse in Art Show & Sale.

“During the temporary closure we look forward to hosting online experiences and digital exhibits to continue to share American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum content with visitors at www.aqha.com/museum,” said Chief Foundation Officer Anna Morrison. “And when the time is right to reopen safely, we will be pleased to welcome the community and visitors back to this very special place to celebrate the American Quarter Horse together.”

The temporary closure will also impact large public events, field trips, bus tours and special events.
