Following is a recap of all official American Quarter Horse stakes and trials for the week of April 24-28. For recaps of most graded stakes, AQHA Racing Challenge stakes and trials, and most stakes with purses of $100,000 or more, see the individual recaps in the Racing News section. This page will be updated throughout the week.
SunRay Park
Katie Larson's Swift D Swyft on Friday set the fastest qualifying time to the May 25, $75,000-added Four Corners Futurity.
Ridden by Jacob Enriquez for trainer Clint Crawford, Swift D Swyft broke her maiden with a clear 1 1/2-length victory in the third of five trials. The daughter of champion Uncle D went 350 yards in :17.332 while earning her first win in two outs.
Swift D Swyft was bred in Oklahoma by Renee Wilson. The filly is out of A Major Chamisa, an unraced daughter of the Rime stallion Major Rime.

Turf Paradise
Eighth-fastest qualifier Four Sweet Kid broke sharply from post 10 and sped to a wire-to-wire victory in Thursday's $60,040 Arizona QRA Derby (R).
Prepped by Diego Cervantes for owner Jose Aguilar Mendoza and racing against a reported 6-mph head wind, Four Sweet Kid covered 350 yards in :17.640, and his winning margin was one length from Nevaeh West. Oscar Andrade Jr. rode the homebred son of One Sweet Jess.
Four Sweet Kid was bred in Arizona. The sorrel gelding was winning for the fourth time in eight races, and the $30,020 winner's share of the purse from his second career stakes score increased his earnings to $111,483.
Fastest qualifier Tell America finished seventh.
Also on Thursday, Roberto Baeza's La Panama West won the 350-yard, $40,000 Mark T Bars Stakes (R) for Arizona-breds.
Racing against a reported 7-mph head wind, La Panama West defeated Jess Mr Mayito by a neck in :17.651. Manuel Garcia rode the homebred 6-year-old daughter of the Walk Thru Fire stallion Panama West for trainer Eloy Mendoza.
La Panama West was coming off of a third-place finish in an optional claiming race at this track on March 25. Raced in three states, including New Mexico and Colorado, the mare has won six of her 22 starts, and the $23,600 winner's share of the purse from her second lifetime stakes victory pushed her bankroll to $94,893.
Weber Downs
Three official stakes were contested at this track on Sunday.
KR Cartels Calamity, a brown son of the Corona Cartel stallion Five Bar Cartel and the eighth-fastest qualifier, won Sunday's $96,716 Beehive Futurity (R) for juveniles sired by participating stallions.
Trained by Abelardo Gonzalez for owner Luis A. Gonzales and aided by a reported 5-mph tail wind, KR Cartels Calamity covered 300 yards in :15.418, and his margin of victory was a neck from Freedum. Cesar Moreno rode the Colorado-bred colt.
KR Cartels Calamity was bred by Kidd Ranch. The colt is out of KR Calamity, an unraced homebred daughter of champion Foose. His second dam, the h homebred Separatist mare KR Dragonfly, won the 2011 Lubbock Stakes (G3) at Zia Park.
KR Cartels Calamity was winning for the second time in as many outs and increasing his earnings to $42,121.
Fastest qualifier JR Calender Girl finished 10th and last after missing the break.
Also on Sunday, W3 Farms' A Jazzy Tres Seis scored a wire-to-wire victory in the 330-yard, $36,740 Utah Bred Derby (R) for state-bred sophomores.
Trained by Sergio Canales, A Jazzy Tres Seis defeated Tempting Look by a head in :16.650 while recording a 100 speed index. Oscar Andrade Jr. rode the homebred daughter of champion Tres Seis.
A Jazzy Tres Seis was the fifth-fastest qualifier from two trials contested at this track on April 5. The filly is out of Pipers Tune, a winning daughter of Bono Jazz and a finalist in champion Foose's '08 Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) at Los Alamitos.
Campaigned in two states, including Wyoming, A Jazzy Tres Seis has won three of her nine races, and the $15,431 winner's share of the purse from her first lifetime stakes victory pushed her bankroll to $32,402.
Fastest qualifier DNC Dynasty ran third, a head behind A Jazzy Tres Seis.
Legend Performance Horses' Paint Me LP won Sunday's $15,246 Beehive Futurity Consolation Stakes (R).
Prepped by Dalton Hansen and ridden by Minor Arana, Paint Me LP went 300 yards in :15.638. The brown son of the PYC Paint Your Wagon stallion Jess Paint Me was recording his first win in two races and increasing his earnings to $6,861.
Paint Me LP was bred in Utah by Curtis C. Jones. The gelding is out of LP Loving Jesse, an unplaced daughter of the Mr Jess Perry stallion Jesse James Jr.
