AQHA Adds $10,000 in Side Pots to BBR World Finals and World Show Direct Qualifying Invitational

AQHA is partnering with Better Barrel Races to offer more opportunities for barrel racers at the 2024 BBR World Finals.

The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to offer $10,000 in side pots at the 2024 Better Barrel Races World Finals April 23-28 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

The World Finals Races will offer $8,000 total in added money, with $4,000 added to Race 1 in the Jim Norick Coliseum and $4,000 added to Race 2 in Barn 6. The total side pot entry fee is $80 with 75% payback of entry fees and 100% payback of added money.

Futurity-race side pot entries are $50 and offer $2,000 added to futurity average money and 75% payback of entry fees; 100% of added money will be paid back.

Competitors can enter the side pot at the AQHA On-Site Member Services booth by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, OR before their first run, whichever comes first. To enter, the competitor must be a current AQHA member and the horse must be registered with AQHA. The entry fee must be paid in cash.

 

World Show Direct Qualifying Invitation

The top 10 1D American Quarter Horses in the 2024 BBR World Finals Short Go will be invited to compete at the 2024 Nutrena AQHA World Championship Show.

Invitations will be for junior or senior classes, which are based on the age of the horse at qualification. Competitors who receive an invitation will be responsible for entry fees to the 2024 Nutrena AQHA World Championship Show.

To be eligible for the direct qualifying invitation, competitors must be entered in the 2024 BBR World Finals Races.
