AQHA Legacy Breeder: David G. Schlorff
March 12, 2024 | | Cumulative or consecutive breeder
Each year, the American Quarter Horse Association honors breeders who have dedicated their livelihoods to maintaining the integrity of the American Quarter Horse breed. These horsemen, horsewomen and their families see their biggest accomplishments and proudest moments in the horses they breed.
David G. Schlorff has a history of breeding and raising successful American Quarter Horses that compete in all-around events, barrel racing, roping, working cow horse, mounted shooting and ranch horses. He credits Genuine Hombre as the most significant contributor to his program’s success. Other stallions that helped shape his legacy were own sons of Parker’s Trouble, Baron Bell, Watch Jo Jack. Shining Spark and a grandson of Jackie Bee.
Schlorff is especially proud that his program produces consistency in size, temperament and talent. Equally as rewarding are the many people throughout the industry he has been blessed to meet.
