AQHA Media Policy for the Ford AQHYA World

Journalists, photographers and videographers must apply by July 15 for 2022 Ford AQHYA World Championship Show media credentials.

All journalists, photographers and videographers covering an AQHA event must apply for media credentials. Anyone wanting media credentials for the 2022 Ford AQHYA World Championship Show must apply by July 15. The Ford AQHYA World is July 28 - August 7 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

Requests for credentials must be made via the Credential Request Application on AQHA’s website or in writing on company letterhead by the commissioning general manager, editor, news director or sports director, and must include the names and titles of those needing credentials. If a request is made in writing on company letterhead, AQHA must subsequently receive a completed Credential Request Application verifying agreement to comply with this policy.

AQHA and The American Quarter Horse Journal reserve the first right to interview AQHA world champions.

AQHA Periodical and Brochure Distribution Policy
AQHA prohibits the distribution of magazines, periodicals or brochures on the grounds at AQHA-produced shows unless they are an official communication tool for one of our corporate, event, affiliate or alliance partners.

Distribution of magazines, periodicals or brochures without written consent from show management is expressly forbidden. AQHA may request a copy of the magazine or brochure prior to granting permission. For inquiries, contact

The Ford AQHYA World is the world’s largest, single-breed world championship horse show open exclusively to youth exhibitors age 18 and under. This is the pinnacle event for youth competitors around the world who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to secure a spot in each of the classes, representing English, western and halter disciplines, or earn an invitation through their state or provincial affiliate. The show includes Level 3 world championship classes; Adequan® Level 2 championship classes; and Nutrena Level 1 Champion of Champions classes.
