AQHA Region 1 exhibitors are preparing for the 2019 AQHA Region One Championships, which benefits the AQHA Region One Scholarship Fund. The event kicks off on August 8 with an AQHA Level 1 show, followed by the AQHA Region One Championships, August 9-11 at Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington.

AQHA Regional Championships provide American Quarter Horse enthusiasts a chance to test their horse-showing skills with prizes and accolades awarded courtesy of generous partners. The entry deadline for the AQHA Region One Championships is July 20. Late entries will be accepted at the show.

This show features four days packed with a variety of classes, starting with Level 1 trail at 8 a.m. on August 9. The Level 1 show will be judged by Heather Thrapp Mauk. AQHA judges Gigi Bailey, Clay MacLeod and John Tuckey will judge the AQHA Region One Championships. Join fellow exhibitors on Friday evening, August 9, for a free dinner and auction to benefit the AQHA Region One Scholarship Fund. For a full show itinerary of both events, visit www.wsqha.com.

“These shows are a way for exhibitors to experience an AQHA championship event,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “Thanks to the help of our partners, competitors will be vying for specially designed buckles courtesy of ARC, and great prizes from WF Young and Schneider’s at each of the Regional Championships.”

Exhibitors from every region are invited to attend a Regional Championships, but an exhibitor can only compete at one Regional Championships per year.
