The 2021 Farnam AQHA World and Adequan® Select World will feature a variety of events and activities in and out of the arena for competitors and spectators.

The 2021 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show; AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan); Adequan® Level 2 Championships; and Nutrena Level 1 Championships make up an exciting event that you won’t want to miss. Top athletes from around the globe will compete for over $2 million in awards and prizes at this year’s event October 28 - November 20 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. Plus, general admission is now free!

Not only can attendees look forward to watching the top equestrians and American Quarter Horses compete in the arena, but this year’s show is also filled with receptions and exciting special events. All events will be hosted in accordance with local, state and federal mandates.

Free Ride the Pattern Clinics, presented by Nutrena
AQHA Professional Horsemen from around the country are teaming up to provide free Ride the Pattern Clinics, presented by Nutrena, at the Farnam AQHA World and Adequan® Select World. During the clinics, AQHA Professional Horsemen explain to the audience how they would complete a specific pattern from that show. The clinicians and tentative schedule for the Ride the Pattern clinics will be available soon!

Special Events
A variety of special events will also take place during the show. Be sure to mark your calendar before traveling to Oklahoma City.

  • Friday, October 29, and Saturday, October 30 – 42nd Annual Triangle Fall Sale. The sale is anticipated to attract the finest cutting, reined cow horse, reining, roping, barrel racing, trail and family horses once again, creating an amazing marketplace during the show.   • Sunday, October 31 – Halloween Reception at 3 p.m. in the Super Barn. Be sure to pack your best Halloween costume for this festive event!

  • Monday, November 1 – Intercollegiate Reining Horse Judging Contest. In cooperation with AQHA and the National Reining Horse Association, the Intercollegiate Reining Horse Judging Contest allows participants to judge live reining horse runs during the show.

  • Friday, November 5 – Team Wrangler Night, during the ranch trail awards presentations in the Jim Norick Arena.

  • Saturday, November 6 – 2020 Year-End High-Point Reception at 5 p.m. in the Gold Globe Lounge in the Jim Norick Arena. Join us at the reception to mix and mingle with fellow year-end high-point winners and Farnam AQHA World and Adequan® Select World attendees. There will not be any formal presentations during the reception, as the top Level 3 open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities will be recognized throughout the show.

  • Don’t forget to set your clocks and watches back an hour for daylight saving time on November 7!

  • Sunday, November 7 – AQHA Collegiate Judging Contest at 8 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony later in the day. The contest now features opportunities for AQHYA members to audit the contest at no charge. Read more here.

  • Sunday, November 7 – Church Service at 10 a.m. in the Sales Pavilion.

  • Sunday, November 7 – Rein in Cancer Pink Night: Wear pink to support horsemen and -women who have fought cancer; the Rein in Cancer Frisbee toss, for the chance to take home a Shorty’s Caboy Hattery custom hat, will take place between the Level 3 junior ranch riding finals and Level 3 amateur ranch riding finals. Frisbees will be sold on the fairgrounds during the show to benefit Rein in Cancer.

  • Thursday, November 11 – Wear red for Veteran’s Day to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country.  

  • Friday, November 12 – Pleasure Versatility Challenge, brought to you by Terry Bradshaw Quarter Horses, slated for 6 p.m. in the Jim Norick Arena. Attendees are also invited to the Pleasure Versatility Challenge reception at 5 p.m. in the Jim Norick concourse before the action begins in the arena.

  • Saturday, November 13 – Dog Adoption, sponsored by the Paws Cause, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Sales Pavilion.

  • Sunday, November 14 – Church Service at 10 a.m. in the Sales Pavilion.

  • Sunday, November 14 – Exhibitor Party beginning at 5 p.m. in the Trade Show in Barn 3, sponsored by the Oklahoma Convention & Visitors Bureau and the OKC Fairgrounds.

Top Awards
During the show, AQHA will also crown the 2021 Farnam Superhorse, AQHA All-Around Amateur, AQHA Select All-Around Amateur, Gene Graves Super Select Special Recognition, Oklahoma City Leading Owner, Nutrena Level 1 all-arounds, Nutrena Senior Athletes of the Show and the top Ranching Heritage-bred horses in the Level 3 and Level 2 open and amateur, Level 3 Select amateur and Level 1 amateur divisions.

The top Level 3 open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities year-end high-point winners; AQHA All-Around Amateur; AQHA Select All-Around Amateur; AQHA All-Around Junior Horse; AQHA All-Around Senior Horse; AQHA Exhibitor of the Year; Justin Boots Intermediates of the Year; Nutrena Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year; Nutrena AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; and Most Valuable Professional will be recognized throughout the 2021 Farnam AQHA World and Adequan® Select World, slated for October 28 - November 20 at the OKC Fairgrounds.
