Three Quarter Horse stakes will be contested at Arapahoe Park on Monday, as the track ends its 2022 season with a nine-race program. Post time for the first race is set for 1 p.m. (MDT).

Luis Marquez's Kali K, a multiple stakes winning daughter of One Fabulous Eagle trained by Alexander Orozco, heads a field of 10 3-year-olds entered back in Monday's 400-yard, $75,000 Mile High Derby.

Kali K has earned $44,217 from his five races at Arapahoe Park this season, and his three wins include a neck victory in the 350-yard, $67,000 Lucille Rowe Derby (R) for Colorado-bred sophomores on August 28. The filly drew post 4 and will be ridden by Cristian Esqueda.

Other contenders include El Best Tornado, a California-bred son of Docs Best Card trained by Chris Gandarilla for owner Juan M. Escobedo. El Best Tornado scored an upset victory at odds of 26-1 in the 350-yard, $60,000 Rocky Mountain Derby at Arapahoe Park on July 24.

El Best Tornado drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jhaciel Soto.

Also on Monday, Barron Racing LLC's Fearless Fortitude drew post 9 for the 400-yard, $75,000 Mile High Futurity for 2-year-olds.

Trained by Jose Manuel Barron, Fearless Fortitude has won two of three races this year -- including the 350-yard, $98,000 Cherry Creek Futurity (R) on August 28 -- and she has banked $59,118. The Flare For Ivory filly and $14,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale will be ridden by Martin Lazalde.

Okey Prissy Mountain won two races during the Elko County Fair meet, including the 350-yard, $44,000 Elko Intermountain Futurity on September 5. Russell Vicchrilli trains the homebred Jr Dynasty Mountain filly for owner Von Vicchrilli.

Okey Prissy Mountain drew post 8 and will be ridden by Jesus Valenzuela.

Arapahoe Park's closing-day card gets underway with the 400-yard, $20,000 Rocky Mountain Championship. Alma Olivas' Kooler Wagon will be stretching out in distance off of her one-length victory at odds of 20-1 in the 350-yard, $20,000 American Flyer Stakes on September 11.

Kooler Wagon drew post 2 and will be ridden by Jose P. Lopez for trainer Uriel Delgado.
