Yashira Vista, a 4-year-old gray daughter of One Famous Eagle campaigned by Mauro Eli Zaborowsky, sprinted to her first stakes victory in Saturday's $26,928 ARC Ruidoso Distaff Challenge Stakes at Ruidoso Downs.

Ridden by Jimmy Brooks for trainer Mike Robbins, Yashira Vista covered 400 yards on a sloppy and sealed track in :19.619, and her winning margin was three-quarters of a length from Ym Valentine. The mare earned $12,656 and landed a berth in the October 26 ARC Distaff Challenge Championship (G1) at Albuquerque Downs.

"She ran great," said Cody Noel, assistant to Robbins. "She's been in good form since spring, and we've been looking for an opportunity like this. The plan has worked."

Early in the Ruidoso meet, Yashira Vista ran third in the Dash For Speed Stakes. Raced in California, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, the mare has won three of 13 starts and has earned $48,737, of which $31,288 has been pocketed this season.

Trace Dynasty ran third, 1 1/4 lengths behind Yashira Vista. C Breeze, Pricey Girl, First N Sassy, Fast Gold Prize, The Next Episode, and Sinsational Tacha completed the order of finish.
