Step behind the scenes to learn what it’s like to work with horses and what goes into the magic of seeing horses on screen with the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum’s new exhibit, “Behind the Action: Making Magic with the Horses of Hollywood.” The exhibit will be on display from November 12, 2024, through November 15, 2025.
Through the stories of wranglers, stunt performers, trainers and actors, we explore the special bonds between actors and their equine co-stars, as well as the history of horses in the film and television industry, training and ensuring safety on set.
All exhibit content is bilingual, presented in English and Spanish.
In addition to photos and videos, this exhibit features props and costumes from the television series 1883.
The grand opening of the exhibit is November 12-13, offering visitors half-priced admission to the Museum and free popcorn.
