PK Pure Rogue, a 5-year-old Heza Fast Rogue gelding racing for Jose H. Rodriguez, is one of 10 sprinters entered in Tuesday's 300-yard, $60,000 BOCO Overnight Stakes at the Sandy Ridge meet at The Red Mile.
PK Pure Rogue will be making his first offiicial start since December 21, when he ran second, a half of a length behind winner TF One Special Jess, in the 440-yard, $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Classic (RG2) for state-breds at Evangeline Downs. The bay gelding is coming off of a 4-year-old campaign during which he won three Louisiana-bred graded stakes, including the Vals Fortune Stakes (RG2) and Open Me A Corona Stakes (RG3), both at Delta Downs.
PK Pure Rogue drew post 8 and will be ridden by Juan D. Marquez for trainer Luis Martinez. The gelding's nine opponents include Milena Kwiecien's Snow Moose, a homebred 5-year-old Seperate Interest gelding trained by Jason Pascoe. Snow Moose will be shortening in distance off of his eighth-place finish in the October 26, 440-yard Indiana Championship Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis, but he has won four of his six starts at the 300-yard trip.
Snow Moose drew post 6 and will be ridden by J.B. Botello
