Eight 3-year-olds, headed by El Primero Del Ano Derby (G3) finalists Favorite Honey and Watch Out, are entered in Saturday's 400-yard, $35,000 Dillingham Handicap at Los Alamitos Racecourse.
Favorite Honey is a California-bred son of Favorite Cartel trained by Monty Arrossa for owners Five Livestock Company LLC and Steve M. Wright. The brown gelding has won earned $272,213 from 10 starts -- all at Los Alamitos -- and his five wins include last year's Grade 2, 350-yard PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity.
The 2-1 morning-line favorite, Favorite Honey drew the rail post and will be ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala.
Watch Out races for Ed Allred from the barn of trainer James Glenn. A homebred Fly Thru The Fire gelding's record includes a second-place finish in last year's Governor's Cup Futurity (RG2), and he was a finalist in the December 12, 400-yard Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1).
Watch Out drew post 5 and will be ridden by Oscar Peinado.
