Eagles Fly Higher, a 32-1 longshot, sprinted to a 1 1/2-length victory in Saturday's $55,680 Eastex Stakes (G2) at Remington Park.

Ridden by Mario Delgado, Eagles Fly Higher covered 350 yards in :17.276. Casey Black prepped the 4-year-old One Famous Eagle stallion for owner Darling Farms.

Eagles Fly Higher earned $34,530 from his second career stakes win and first graded stakes score. The stallion was bred in Oklahoma by V.H. Harman Jr. and Robert Moudy III, and he was shortening in distance off of a sixth-place finish in a 400-yard Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) trial on January 19.

Raced in four states, including Texas and New Mexico, Eagles Fly Higher has won five of 16 starts and has banked $340,476. His record includes a victory in the 2018 Remington Park Juvenile Stakes (R) and a second-place run in that season's Grade 1, 400-yard Texas Classic Futurity at Lone Star Park.

Corona By Corona finished second and was followed by VF Jedi Returns, 9-5 favorite MPShinning, Uncle Eds Idea, Hes Limitless, Hooked On A Win, American Hussle, Accountably, and Doing What I Like.
