Domishay tops the qualifiers to the December 14, $295,000 final.

Paula Cristina Villatoro's Domishay is the fastest qualifier to the December 14, $295,000 Evangeline Downs Futurity.

Ridden by Jesse Levario for trainer Josue Ponce, Domishay on Friday won the sixth of nine 400-yard trials by 1 3/4 lengths in :19.812. The Dominyun gelding was recording his fifth win in 10 starts and increasing his bankroll to $64,615.

Domishay was bred in Oklahoma by Dan and Laura Erickson. The gelding's resume includes a victory in the July 27, 350-yard Cherokee Nation Stakes at Fair Meadows at Tulsa, and he was a finalist in the October 5, 400-yard Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park.

Second-fastest qualifier Agavero Cartel won the second heat by 1 1/2 lengths in :19.830. Jorge Garcia rode the homebred gray son of The Louisiana Cartel for owner Conroe Liquor Store and trainer Fernando Lopez.

Agavero Cartel was bred in Texas. The gelding has won three of eight outs and has earned $19,497, and he was a finalist in the July 20 Gillespie County Fair Association Firecracker Futurity.
