Adequan Grande Prairie Derby Challenge
Charles G. Stojan's Getit Hot sprinted to a half-length victory in Sunday's $36,463 Adequan Grande Prairie Derby Challenge.
Ricardo Moreno rode Getit Hot for trainer William Leech. No winning time was posted by Equibase.
Getit Hot was bred in California by Martha F. "Mimi" Wells. Raced in Alberta and California, the brown filly has won five of 10 starts, including two stakes this season, and she has banked $39,376.
Papas Coleen, Chasin Harm, Last Unicorn, Goldin Warrior, Timbersknightryder, and You Have No Equal completed the order of finish.
AQHA Grande Prairie Distance Challenge
Leech and Moreno also teamed up to win Sunday's 870-yard, $21,879 AQHA Grande Prairie Distance Challenge with Gone To Be Bright.
Campaigned by the Gonetothebrightside Syndicate, Gone To Be Bright defeated Cr Crusin For Chics by a half of a length in :45.484. The 4-year-old son of Gone To The Mountain banked $11,377 from his first stakes win.
Gone To Be Bright was bred in Alberta by Jack and Deborah Williams. The stallion has won four of 19 starts and has earned $27,736.
Glittering Blue ran third and was followed by Its Official and Blink And Shes Gone.
