Fifty-seven 2-year-olds, led by stakes winners Hawkabye Baby and Blue Eyed Jane, are entered in Saturday's 350-yard Firecracker Futurity (G2) trials at Delta Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Saturday's six heats will meet in the July 6, $100,000-added final.

Hawkabye Baby is an undefeated daughter of the One Dashing Eagle stallion Hawkeye trained by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner Heavy Hitters Racing Stable. An $8,500 purchase from breeders Tyler and Naia Graham at last year's TQHA Sale Futurity in San Antonio, the filly has earned $109,605 from two races, and she will be stretching out in distance off of her three-quarter length victory in the 330-yard, $213,000 Old South Futurity at Delta Downs on May 18.

Hawkabye Baby drew post 10 and will be ridden by Jorge J. Garcia in the first trial.

Trainer Juan Diaz Jr. will send out Blue Eyed Jane for owner David L. Martinez, who purchased the daughter of the Favorite Cartel stallion Tarzanito from breeder Valerie Moya for $16,500 at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale. The filly ships in from Texas, where she scored a clear 2 3/4-length victory in the 350-yard, $102,000 John Deere Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge (G3) on May 10.

Blue Eyed Jane drew the rail post and will be ridden by Jorge J. Garcia in the second heat.
