Frasier tops trials for $130,400 stakes.

Carillo Racing's Frasier is set up and looking for his first stakes win after posting the top qualifying time for the $130,400 Gillespie County Fair Derby on August 10. 

The 350-yard final is set to be run on August 24. 

Frasier is a gelding by This Is An Eagle, and in his trial broke cleanly and held the lead over Puro Chilitos to win by a nose. Jockey Oliver Martinez guided him to a final time of :17.712. 

This is the second win from five starts so far this year, and the third of 13 starts in his career. He has career earnings of $45,877. 

In his previous out, he was second in the $44,800 Silver Bullet Stakes at Retama Park. 

Bred by Tommy and Johanna Bullard, the gelding is out of the Shazoom mare Zoom In On Me, 

Puro Chilitos marked the second-fastest qualifying time with a :17.727. Other qualifiers include RA Coronado (:17.733), Bogarts Image (:17.761), Razor Hawk Cartel (:17.766), Miss Chick Chimes (:17.768), Kas Prietito (:17.809), Beaux Tye (:17.827), Grace N Motion (:17.939) and A Fast Dynasty (:17.955).
