The title of World Champion Racing American Quarter Horse is one of the most desirable achievements in the sport of American Quarter Horse racing. For the few horses that earn it, it represents a phenomenal year of success, and for many of the horse’s connections, it is the culmination of a lifetime of work in the industry and a source of tremendous pride.

In addition to the beloved awards, such as the unique bronze trophy given only to the world champion, and the world-class buckles commemorating the achievement, an additional prize will be given to the 2020 world champion, which is set to be announced on January 14 at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In addition to the other prizes, the winning owners will receive a custom cowboy hat from AQHA Partner Shorty’s Caboy Hattery

Based in Oklahoma City, Shorty’s Caboy Hattery is owned and operated by Cowgirl Hall of Fame member Lavonna “Shorty” Koger. Over the past decades, the company has become synonymous with the highest-quality custom cowboy hats in the business.
