Heidi Lane Named AQHA Show Events Coordinator

The American Quarter Horse Association appoints Heidi Lane as show events coordinator.

The American Quarter Horse Association welcomes Heidi Lane as the Association’s show events coordinator. Lane began her new role with the Association on March 7.
Lane will oversee the administrative functions of AQHA-produced horse shows by acting as a show secretary and liaison between participants and the Association. She will also be responsible for the delivery of quality administrative services relating to conducting horse shows, including data management, customer service, advertising, education and dissemination of information. Lane will travel to AQHA shows and events throughout the year to work with show management, judges and exhibitors. 

“We are excited for Heidi to join the AQHA team,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “Her passion for the equine industry paired with her positive attitude and knowledge of the showing industry will be a great asset to the Association.”
Lane’s professional resume includes 20 years of involvement in the equine industry and working as the secretary for numerous successful events. She has worked at multiple AQHA championship shows, and has been the show secretary at the Silver Dollar Circuit in Las Vegas for the past six years. 

In addition, Lane has been involved with numerous shows as secretary or office assistant, including the National Snaffle Bit Association World Championship Show, CRCA shows, Colorado State Fair, New Mexico State Fair, Redbud Spectacular, Arizona Sun Circuit, Arizona Fall Championship, Western States Championship Summer Celebration, Tar Heel Triple Classic and Texas Amateur Championship. She has also served as a ring steward for multiple shows, including the All American Quarter Horse Congress and Pinto World Championship Show.
