Heritage Place Yearling Sale Recap

Sixy Brown Eyes, a daughter of champion Tres Seis, sold for $180,000 on Friday to top the two-day Heritage Place Yearling Sale, held in Oklahoma City September 19-20.

Joe Rios and Bobby Simmons signed the ticket for Sixy Brown Eyes, who was consigned by Marty Powers, agent for Flag Ranch LLC. The filly is a half sister to West Texas Futurity (G1) winner Suze Returns.

"We had a big finish to the yearling sale today," Heritage Place general manager Spence Kidney said on Friday. "The last session averaged $22,581, which is 10 percent higher than (Thursday's) average. Overall, the sale finished with an increase of 18 percent compared to last year."
