RACE RECORD: The consistent Jest Famous started his career by running third in the Ruidoso Futurity (G1), and then won the Southwest Juvenile Championship (G1). 

In the race prior to the All American trials, he won a Ruidoso allowance, and then won Trial 6 by 2 ¼ lengths. 

BREEDER: Jon and Donna McPherson breed in their own name and the name of their Grant Farms in Pineville, Louisiana, have bred the earners of more than $6.5 million, and are the sport’s reigning champion breeders.

OWNER: La Feliz Montana Ranch has campaigned the earners of more than $2.8 million, led by champion Heartswideopen, and Grade 1 winner Jess Significant. 

TRAINER: Manuel Rodolfo Rodriguez has trained 36 winners from 449 starters and the earners of more than $550,000.

QUALIFYING JOCKEY: Champion jockey Ricky Ramirez knows how to be a winner on and off the track. The rider was named the sport’s champion rider in 2015, and last year was named the Sam Thompson Memorial Jockey Award winner, which is an award given to a jockey by his or her peers based on personal character on and off the racetrack. He has ridden more than 1,200 winners and the earners of more than $33.4 million, but is still seeking his first All American Futurity victory. 

PEDIGREE: The late Mr Jess Perry is one of the sport’s all-time leading sires, with progeny earnings in excess of $54.7 million. The member of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame was a champion runner, a champion sire and a sire-of-sires – among his sons are Apollitical Jess (sire of two qualifiers).

Famous Corona Lady is a half-sister to champion and champion sire One Famous Eagle. Both are out of the mare One Famous Lady. Famous Corona Lady herself ran fifth in the 2015 All American Derby, and earned $184,408 in her racing career. She has produced two winners from three starters and the earners of $251,773.
