Jeffery R.W. Rath’s O First Sweet Heart defeated the field in the $35,156 John Deere Evergreen Juvenile Challenge at Evergreen Park in Grand Prairie, Alberta, as the race favorite.

The 2-year-old filly is was making her sixth career start, and notched her second stakes win in a row. Her first came in the July 2, $45,826 Alberta Stallion Stakes Futurity at Century Mile. She has now won two of six starts and earned $40,066.

In the John Deere Juvenile, she was ridden by Larris Allen for trainer Wes Oulton, and broke sharply and held on by a neck over a game Intres Fino. She went the 350-yards in :18.382.

The filly is sired by First Timber and is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Eyesa Perry, bred by her trainer Wes Oulton. This makes her a full sister to reigning champion Canadian horse Eyesa Timber.
