Following is a recap of all official American Quarter Horse stakes for the week of June 3-4. For recaps of most graded stakes, Bank of America Racing Challenge stakes and trials, and most stakes with purses of $100,000 or more, see the individual recaps in the Racing News section. This page will be updated throughout the week.
Energy Downs
Walter I. Larson's Cayenneoverthemoon on Saturday posted the fastest qualifying time to the June 18, $30,000-added Silks and Spurs Maturity.
Ridden by Shaunda Larsen for trainer Jess Matt, Cayenneoverthemoon won the second of two trials by a neck while covering 400 yards in :20.062. The 4-year-old daughter of the Toast To Dash stallion Brindis Por Cayenne was winning for the seventh time in 16 starts and increasing her bankroll to $79,774.
Cayenneoverthemoon was bred in Wyoming by S Bar S. The mare has won two stakes, including the May 20 Ron Moosman Memorial Stakes at this track.

Jerome County Fair
Five Livestock Company's Seperate Kisses is the fastest qualifier to the June 18, $15,000-est. Roche Equine Futurity.
On Sunday, Seperate Kisses won the second of three 350-yard trials by 3 1/4 lengths in :18.177. Oscar Villa rode the homebred filly for trainer Ramiro Fregoso.
Seperate Kisses was bred in Idaho. The filly has won two of four races and has earned $4,455.

Also on Sunday, three 350-yard trials determined the finalists to the June 18, $15,000-est. Five Livestock Company/Rod Mills Memorial Derby.
Ramiro Saldana's Streakin Wes set the fastest qualifying time with his half-length victory in the third heat. Ridden by Eric Ayala for trainer Glen Jamison, the homebred stakes-winning colt covered 350 yards in :17.924 while earning his third win in 11 outs.
Streakin Wes was bred in Idaho. The colt has banked $16,375 while racing exclusively in Idaho.

Remington Park
Dunn Ranch's One Valiant Love was a prompt 17-10 favorite in Saturday's 350-yard, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-old who raced in the May 12-15 Heritage Place Futurity (G1) trials at this track.
One Valiant Love defeated 5-2 second choice Deck Stack by 1 1/4 lengths while stopping the timer in :17.355, a clocking aided by a reported 6-mph tail wind. Francisco Calderon rode the sorrel son of One Valiant Hero for trainer Monty Arrossa.
One Valiant Love was bred in Oklahoma, and the gelding was purchased from breeder Valeriano Racing Stables LLC for $27,000 at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale. He is out of Echoes Of Love, a 12-year-old One Famous Eagle mare who won the 2015 AQHA Remington Distaff Challenge Stakes (G3) at this track.
One Valiant Love has won two of three starts, and the $31,645 winner's share of the purse from his first stakes score increased his earnings to $44,364.
Ruidoso Downs
Javier M. Chavez's Big Crush BB outran his 11-1 odds to win Sunday's $45,000 Jess Burner Stakes (R) for New Mexico-breds.
Aided by a reported 8-mph tail wind, Big Crush BB defeated 15-1 longshot Hunky McGoo by 1 1/4 lengths while covering 400 yards in :19.298. Emilio Tapia rode the 4-year-old Big Daddy Cartel stallion for trainer Jose Ignacio DeHerrera.
Big Crush BB was coming off of a three-quarter length victory in the April 28, $100,000 Jimmy Drake Stakes (RG3) at SunRay Park. The stallion was bred by Ralph Vincent and Beverly Bourguet, and he is out of Eagles First Down, an unraced 13-year-old daughter of One Famous Eagle.
Big Crush BB was winning for the fifth time in 17 races, and the $27,000 winner's share of the purse from his second career stakes score increased his earnings to $172,460.
Sam Houston Race Park
The 9-5 favorite in a field of eight Texas-bred sophomores, Joe Ruiz Jr.'s Tic It To The Dance won Saturday's 350-yard, $54,350 Leon Bard Memorial Stakes (R).
Tic It To The Dance stopped the timer in :17.708 while racing against a reported 5-mph head wind, and his margin of victory was a neck from Eagle Powers. Froylan Ramirez rode the gray son of champion Mr Jess Perry for trainer Oscar Constancio Jr.
Tic It To The Dance was bred by Bob and Jerry Gaston, and he was a $100,000 purchase at the 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling sale in New Mexico. The gelding has won four of nine races, and he was a finalist in the May 19, 350-yard Sam Houston Derby (G3) and last year's Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park. The $32,550 winner's share of the purse from his first stakes score bumped his bankroll to $105,929.
Also on Saturday, Jerry Lee Davis' Lipstick Promise rallied to win the $54,250 John Buchanan Memorial Stakes (R) for state-bred 3-year-old fillies.
Ridden by Froylan Ramirez and sent to post at odds of 15-1, Lipstick Promise covered 350 yards in :17.718 while defeating Suzie Que by a neck. Kie Mushinski prepped the daughter of the Mr Jess Perry stallion A Revenant.
Lipstick Promise was bred by Davis, and she was making the second start of her sophomore campaign. Raced exclusively in Texas, the filly has won three of six starts, and the $32,550 winner's share of the purse from her first stakes victory pushed her earnings to $58,824.
Dollar Bill, the 3-2 favorite in a field of eight 2-year-olds, scored a wire-to-wire victory in Saturday's $51,315 Sam Houston Juvenile Stakes.
Prepped by Juan Diaz Jr. for owner Celeste Martinez, Dollar Bill went 330 yards in :16.647 and earned a 106 speed index while racing against a reported 5-mph head wind. Jose Herbert rode the gelded son of Kiss My Hocks.
Dollar Bill was bred in Texas by Tyler and Naia Graham, and he is out of Jakes Painted Wagon, an unraced Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare. A $39,000 buy at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale, the gelding has won three of four starts and has banked $79,293, and his early season record includes a second-place finish in the March 25, 300-yard Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2).
Wyoming Downs
Two sets of trials were contested at this track on Saturday.
Pedro Mena's Cantinera, a homebred Pappasito filly trained by Sergio Canales, posted the fastest qualifying time to the June 17, $50,000-est. Ron Cook Wyoming-Bred Futurity (R) for state-bred 2-year-olds.
Ridden by Jesus Canales, Cantinera broke her maiden with a 3 1/4-length win in the sixth of seven 330-yard trials. The bay filly stopped the timer in :17.011 while earning her first win in three outs.
Cantinera has banked $4,218 while racing in Utah and Wyoming, and she was a finalist in the April 30 Beehive Futurity (R) at Weber Downs.

Also on Saturday, the field was set for the June 17 Wyoming-Bred Derby (R), and Broken Bones Cattle Co.'s Eyesa Special Moxy set the fastest qualifying time to the 60,000-est. final.
Prepped by Jesse Villegas, Eyesa Special Moxy won the third of four 350-yard heats by a neck in :18.096. Rick Oliver rode the homebred daughter of the Eyesa Special stallion Eyesa Special Slim.
Eyesa Special Moxy was making her season debut. The filly has won three of 11 outs and has earned $11,107.
