Ed Allred's Tough To Figure, a homebred 5-year-old daughter of Walk Thru Fire, sprinted to a half-length victory in Saturday's $50,000 Las Damas Handicap (G3) for fillies and mares at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Vinnie Bednar for trainer Scott Willoughby, Tough To Figure covered 400 yards in :19.906. The mare earned $27,500 from her first career graded stakes win.

Tough To Figure was making her first start since October 19, when she ran third in a 300-yard, $13,100 open-condition allowance dash at Los Alamitos. Raced exclusively in California, the mare has won seven of 30 starts and has banked $183,821.

On Our Way finished second and was followed by Matilda Czech, Elicity, Conquering Marie, Love To Reason Br, Thermonuclear Energy, and Singles Cruise.
