Two regional Bank of America Racing Challenge stakes will be contested as part of Friday's 11-race program at Lone Star Park.

Friday's card will start at 6:05 p.m. (CDT) and will kick off with the 870-yard, $24,684 AQHA Lone Star Distance Challenge Stakes (G3). The Grand Legend, a 7-year-old son of FDD Going Grand racing for James C. Whitener LLC from the barn of trainer Adan Guzman, is the early favorite off of his second-place finish, one length behind winner Eye Will Decide, in the September 2, 870-yard San Marcos Stakes at Retama Park.

The Grand Legend has won four of his seven starts at the 870-yard distance. The gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Noe Villatoro.

Friday's 400-yard, $38,055 Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge Stakes has drawn seven fillies and mares, led by early favorite Fabulous Rachel. A 4-year-old One Fabulous Eagle mare racing for Darling Farms and trained by Waylan Melton, Fabulous Rachel will be making her first start since June 3, when she scored a neck victory in the 400-yard, $112,000 Junos Request Stakes (G1) at Remington Park.

Fabulous Rachel drew post 2 and will be ridden by Juan Pulido.

Other contenders include Jerry Lee Davis' Lipstick Promise. A homebred sophomore daughter of champion A Revenant trained by Kie Mushinski, the filly will be stretching out in distance off of his 1 1/4-length win in the September 1, 330-yard La Villita Stakes (R) for Texas-bred 3-year-old fillies at Retama Park.

Lipstick Promise drew post 7 and will be ridden by Froylan Ramirez.
