Gentry Farms' Beach Walk, a homebred Freighttrain B filly and the fastest qualifier from four trials, heads a full field of 10 3-year-old fillies entered back in Saturday's 400-yard,  $430,000 Los Alamitos Oaks (G1) at Los Alamitos Racecourse.

Beach Walk is coming off of a half-length victory in the third trial on March 1. The filly is out of Heartbeat, a winning homebred daughter of champion Tres Seis and a finalist in the 2016 Ed Burke Million Futurity. Her second dam, the homebred Dash For Cash mare Fearless Freda, won three graded stakes in Texas and California in '96.

“I had the pleasure of training (Heartbeat) and a lot of her daughters,” said Juan Aleman, Beach Walk's trainer. “Heartbeat was a real fast filly with a lot of heart. She’s just passed it on to her daughter."

Beach Walk's third dam, the homebred Special Effort mare Such An Easy Effort, was a multiple graded stakes winner from 1987-90. Beach Walk drew post 7 and will be ridden by Eduardo Nicasio.

Multiple graded stakes winner Up To Party has been made the 3-1 morning-line favorite by track linemaker Ed Burgart. A sorrel daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Kiddy Up, the California-bred filly began her racing career with a five-race win streak that included victories in the June 16 Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) and September 15 PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity (G2).

Ramiro Castillo trains Up To Party for owner Dunn Ranch. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Armando Cervantes.
