Trane Station V, a son of the Favorite Trick (TB) stallion Favorite Cartel and the fastest qualifier, heads a field of nine juveniles entered back in California's richest horse race, Sunday's 400-yard, $1,758,675 Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1) at Los Alamitos Racecourse.

Trane Station V is trained by Heath Taylor for owner Valeriano Racing Stables, which purchased the California-bred colt from breeder Steve Burns for $130,000 at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Following a Ruidoso Downs summer campaign during which he ran second in the September 4, $3-million All American Futurity (G1), and the July 16, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1), Trane Station V put together a three-race win streak at Los Alamitos that includes a wire-to-wire, 1 3/4-length victory in the 400-yard, $961,450 Golden State Million Futurity (G1) on October 29.

Trane Station V has been made the 3-5 morning-line favorite by track linemaker Ed Burgart. The colt drew post 7 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon. If Trane Station V wins the Two-Million Futurity, he'll be the first horse to win both the Golden State Million and Two-Million futurities as the fastest qualifier.

"I think post 7 is an ideal post for the horse,” Taylor said. “The horse has been a tremendous finisher. I think it’s a good draw for him with his running style. He just needs to stand up and leave clean and stay out of trouble early. I think the horse will run a big race.”

The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
Five Bar Supreme (Jesus Ayala), 3-1
AB Wow (Agustin Silva), 12-1
Unrelentless (Justine Klaiber), 10-1
Think Again Kev (Jose Nicasio), 20-1
Apollitical Open MRL (Oscar Peinado), 30-1
Southern Divine (Armando Cervantes), 10-1
Trane Station V (Francisco Calderon), 3-5
Checkn Cartel (Ramon Sanchez), 20-1
Optical Illusion (Victor Salazar), 20-1
