A colt by Jet Black Patriot sold for $605,000 to top the three-day Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale, held Thursday through Saturday in Kinder, Louisiana.
TM Ranch signed the ticket for Son Of A Rogue (Hip No. 340), who was consigned by Robicheaux Ranch Inc., agent for Triple M Farms LLC. The colt is out of Miss Jess Rogue, a stakes-winning daughter of champion Mr Jess Perry, and he is a full or half sibling to multiple stakes winner Heza Fast Rogue and stakes winners Jet Black Rogue and Jess A Rogue.
A total of 448 yearlings sold for a gross of $7,605,200, an increase of 15 percent over the $6,616,100 paid for 461 yearlings in 2018. The average price rose 18 percent from $14,352 in 2018 to $16,976 this year.
