Remington Park
CH Horse Racing's Wera C broke her maiden with a wire-to-wire win in Saturday's $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-olds.

Racing against a reported 13-mph head wind, Wera C went 300 yards in :15.495, and her margin of victory was 1 1/2 lengths from HF Kiss This Too. Nestor Duran rode the sorrel daughter of Flying Cowboy 123 for trainer Al Watson.

Wera C was coming off of a second-place finish in an Oklahoma Futurity (G2) trial on March 8. The filly was bred in Texas by Ellis "Hank" Bird, and she was a $73,000 purchase at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale in San Antonio.

Wera C is out of Pillow Talk, an unplaced One Dashing Eagle mare. She traces back to her third dam, Send Me First, a graded stakes winning daughter of world champion First Down Dash.

Wera C was winning for the first time in two outs and increasing her earnings to $22,779.

Sandy Ridge at The Red Mile
Jose H. Rodriguez's PK Pure Rogue was a prompt favorite in Tuesday's $60,000 BOCO Overnight Stakes.

Prepped by Luis Martinez and ridden by Juan Marquez, PK Pure Rogue covered 300 yards in :15.489, and his margin of victory was a nose from Torpedo. The 5-year-old Heza Fast Rogue gelding earned a 96 speed index while banking the $36,000 winner's share of the purse from his fourth lifetime stakes win.

PK Pure Rogue was bred in Louisiana by Phatt Kat Ranch, and he was making his first official start since December 21, when he ran second, a half of a length behind winner TF One Special Jess, in the 440-yard, $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Classic Stakes (RG2) at Evangeline Downs. The gelding is out of Kinky Boots, a stakes-winning and graded stakes placed daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Agouti. His second dam, the Takin On The Cash mare Pure Oklahoma, won the 1996 Shebester Futurity (G3) at Blue Ribbon Downs.

PK Pure Rogue was making his first career start at this track in Lexington, Kentucky. All told, the gelding has won nine of his 27 races -- including three graded stakes in Louisiana last season -- and he has earned $248,635.

Turf Paradise
You Can Run, a homebred 8-year-old Favorite Cartel gelding owned by Dr. Steve Burns, won Saturday's 350-yard, $40,000 Allred Brothers Stakes.

Prepped by Heraclio Botello Jr., You Can Run defeated Rockin Jo Kool by a half of a length in :17.444 while recording a 99 speed index. Kevin Carbajal rode the sorrel California-bred gelding.

You Can Run was making his first career start at this track and his first start since December 21, when he ran second, a neck behind winner Cattail Cove, in the 400-yard First Down Dash Handicap (G3) at Los Alamitos. The gelding is out of You Can Fly, a homebred winning and multiple stakes placed Walk Thru Fire mare.

You Can Run has won 11 of his 34 races, -- including five of eight at the 350-yard distance -- and the $24,000 winner's share of the purse from his fourth lifetime stakes score pushed his bankroll to $289,961. The gelding has won two graded stakes, including last year's Kaweah Bar Handicap (G3) at Los Alamitos.
