La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC's Lethal Lil, a bay daughter of the Holland Ease stallion Corona Cartel, earned her first stakes win in Saturday's $100,000 Mr Jess Perry Stakes for 3-year-olds at Ruidoso Downs.

Prepped by Manuel Rodriguez and sent to post as the 5-2 favorite, Lethal Lil went 400 yards in :19.883 while racing against a reported 17-mph head wind. Jose Alvarez rode the filly, who earned $42,000 from her fourth win in 11 outs.

Lethal Lil was bred in Texas by P.K. Thomas, and she was a $90,000 yearling purchase at the 2017 Los Alamitos Equine Sale in California. The filly made her season debut with a third-place run, 2 1/4 lengths behind champion Apocalyptical Jess, in the ninth of 10 Ruidoso Derby trials on May 26.

Raced in New Mexico and California, Lethal Lil has earned $278,714. The filly's stakes resume includes a third-place finish in the December 16, 400-yard Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1), and he was a finalist in last year's Rainbow (G1) and West Texas (G2) futurities.

Buckie Jones finished second and was followed by A Louisiana Fantasy, Longgone Perry, Breaking New Ground, Genereightor, Rustys Miracle, Extremely Defining, Sooner Cartel, and Moonflash Numbers.
